We must be better stewards of our Universe's finite resources.
We must rid all that isn't derived from love, learn from our mistakes, promote truth and transparency, forgive and love thy neighbor.
We must rid harmful chemicals, fertilizers and other harmful waste that is deteriorating our top soil.
We must learn to reduce and refine. Live with less materialism. Preserve earth's natural beauty and stop clearing Forrest and all the other damage mankind is doing, but rather the exact opposite by making decisions today to benefit those to inherit our world 150+ years from now. A good example would be planting of trees.
We must no longer treat education as if a glorified baby sitter service and teach future generations real life skills, mainly the top lessons that cause us pain.
We have the ability, power and all the tools to make heaven on earth if we come together.
Love never fails.
Only then do we have the slightest chance of saving the world. I dedicate the rest of my time on earth in doing just this.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts.
Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and bring reusable shopping bags. I bring my own bags so that I don't have to recycle the plastic bags each month, helping cut down on waste.
Think of recovering rainwater. This water can be used for different purposes. I use it to water my garden and plants, so it saves on my water bill.
Donate. We have tons of clothes or things we want to get rid of. If they are still usable, give them to someone who needs them. You may also choose to give them to associations. These associations may sell them and collect a little money. Not only will you protect the environment, but you will also contribute to a good cause.
Despite a reputation for being unreliable, wind power has the potential to provide more than 30% of the world’s electricity. The wind does not blow constantly, of course, so we will need to develop better ways of storing the energy we generate with it.
The sun provides more than enough energy to power the world many times over – we just need to come up with an effective way of capturing this energy. Current solar panels are relatively inefficient, but increasing investment in solar cells is producing better models which capture more energy and cost less to produce.
Switch Shower heads. The standard shower head is set to spout 2.5 gallons per minute. If you take a 10-minute shower every day, that's 9,125 gallons of water every year. You can save 60-percent—3,6500 gallons of water!—by switching to a water saving shower head that only spills out 1.5 gallons per minute.
The #1 thing you can do to reduce your carbon footprint while cooking and eating is buying locally grown, in-season food. The absolute best way to do this is to do most of your shopping at the local farmers' market. If you do, you're buying directly from the food's producer and cutting out the middleman, who drives up food costs and carbon footprint.
Drive smarter. Slow down -- driving 60 miles per hour instead of 70 mph on the highway will save you up 4 miles per gallon. Accelerating and braking too hard can actually reduce your fuel economy, so take it easy on the brakes and gas pedal.
Turn off lights when you're not in the room and unplug appliances when you're not using them. It only takes a second to be environmentally conscious.
Maintain your car. Underinflated tires decrease fuel economy by up to 3 percent and lead to increased pollution and higher greenhouse gas emissions [source: EPA]. Underinflation also increases tire wear, so it will save you money in the long run if you're good about checking your tire pressure.
Get a programmable thermostat so you aren't wasting energy when you aren't home. When you go to bed, reduce the thermostat setting -- you won't miss those extra degrees of heat or air conditioning while you're asleep.
If you're shopping for new appliances or even home electronics, look for ENERGY STAR products, which have met EPA and U.S. Department of Energy guidelines for energy efficiency. As of December 2013, ENERGY STAR had helped families and businesses to save an estimated $295 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.3 billion tons (2.1 billion metric tons) of greenhouse gas emissions from being released over the past two decades source: ENERGY STAR
Change your light bulbs. Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) last 10 times longer than a standard bulb and use at least two-thirds less energy.
Compost. Think about how much trash you make in a year. Reducing the amount of solid waste you produce in a year means taking up less space in landfills, so your tax dollars can work somewhere else. Plus, compost makes a great natural fertilizer.
Recycle. You can help reduce pollution just by putting that soda can in a different bin. If you're trying to choose between two products, pick the one with the least packaging. Reuse or repurpose instead of throwing away.
Walk or ride your bike to work, school and anywhere you can. You can reduce greenhouse gases while burning some calories and improving your health. If you can't walk or bike, use mass transit or carpool. Every car not on the road makes a difference.
Leave your car at home. If you can stay off the road just two days a week, you'll reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 1,590 pounds (721 kilograms) per year [source: EPA]. Combine your errands -- hit the post office, grocery store and shoe repair place in one trip. It will save you gas and time.
Pay attention to how you use water. The little things can make a big difference. Every time you turn off the water while you're brushing your teeth, you're doing something good. Got a leaky toilet? You might be wasting 200 gallons (757 liters) of water a day. Try drinking tap water instead of bottled water, so you aren't wasting all that packaging as well. Wash your clothes in cold water when you can.
We can start by banning the sale of assault style weapons for 18 year old kids. The minimum age to buy a gun should be 21, same as a handgun. And guns that shoot rapid fire should be banned. That would help here in the USA, but it would be a start because some of these kids who are killed may the next scientist who DOES figure out a way to save the world.
I think they should go back to glass bottles versus plastic, and charge a deposit so people actually take them back to the store. All of this plastic ending up in our landfills is killing our planet, and we must find a way to stop it. In states that charge a deposit on cans and bottles they have much less of it ending up in landfills, so it does work.
Stricter enforcement of our commercial fishing laws. If they don't enforce them and adjust them to reflect the changing times, we may end up with a food storage worldwide.
We need to plant twenty billion trees on all seven continents.....to fight global warming....we need to make a rule mandatory in north America and the rest of world that every home built will have at least four shade trees planted along with it or it cannot be constructed....we could give people jobs to plant trees.....like with the wpa in the 1930s. We also need to switch to solar power on every house mandatory.....if these measures are taken in the next fifty years we could save the world....the president of the u.s must commit to these ideas or we are doomed.......
Stop being offended by everything. Stop blaming the President, and if you really have tolerance, don't hate people that disagree with your politics.

Go to simple living.
Keep up the good work.
Get the president and Congress to agree that global warming is real so that the country can succeed in stopping the progression to death of the earth. Also, get our entire earth's population to control births to one per couple to reduce our huge population and ease the burden of this population on our environment.
We all need to learn to get along.

I think we need to be vegan every person!
Be conscious of our own impact to the earth and minimize any impact that could be negative, and increase any impact that may be positive.
I think a great idea would be by spreading the word on stuff like this and other projects that promote a positive mentality in this world!
Many people don't actively think about what they can do to make the world a better place. So, they don't have the ideas or initiative to do so!
This starts a great narrative on how we can make the world a better place! So, spread the word and share the knowledge!
I think we definitely need to consider gun control and listen to these children who are begging for hope for a better, safer future!
I don't think we need to completely eliminate guns, but to make sure they are better regulated and purchased by sound minded individuals.
Eliminate political correctness and progressive politics which are self destructive like a drug that gives a social high while destroying everything. There is denial of the self destruction like cigarette smoking. Things are said and done to produce a drug like social reward but the words and actions that produce the social high are only to produce the high not to make things better.
Zero population growth.
Explore other planets so we have options when earth is no longer habitable or over inhabited.
Impeach Trump, throw his entire administration out or in jail, remove all Republicans.
Bring Jesus back into schools.
Get along and LOVE each other. Treat each person like they were one of your parents and we would be too busy to fuss and fight.
There is so much. Start by getting a president who isn't about to get us into a nuclear war and then get rid of all nuclear weapons.
Do away with disposable everything - only reusable item. Return to the days of quality items made by people who wanted to make a quality item.Back to Top Enter the Contest Refer a Friend Reply to a Post Contact Us
Planting more trees would help to save the world of pollution and contamination. Planting trees is a must if we want to save our planet. Trees not only remove harmful chemicals from the soil, but also help reduce the greenhouses leading to global warming. Planting trees in the right place around buildings and homes can cut air-conditioning costs up to 50 percent. If we plant 20 million trees, the earth will get with 260 million more tons of oxygen. Planting trees means more wood and paper products which can be easily recycled which mean more job opportunities. For sure, we can help to save the world!
I think we need a very long-term perspective, and a commitment to turn things around. We are still adolescents here on earth. Becoming adult and eventually elders will not be easy. Commitment is critical.
One of the "paradigm shifts" that we shall need is a much longer view and perspective on our place in past and future earth/human history. We need to be imagining ourselves as permanent change agents, forever working together to emerge a global community with a culture that works for the benefit of all life. Forever. Always. Never ending. For at least another million years. Even more!
We need global patriotism. If our level of concern is expanded to include the welfare of everyone, and all nations, then there is no "other" to be against. Attitude makes all the difference in the world.
Get Trump out of office.

For pretty much all of human history, the creation and amassment of some sort of wealth has been the central focus and purpose of most societal activity, and accumulated wealth is the measure of its success. This made sense under conditions of scarcity, and was well-suited to hierarchical societies — tribal on up to feudal. More wealth equals greater chances of survival, so the creators or holders of wealth were the most valued members of society.
However, in today’s democratic, egalitarian, we’re-all-in-this-together societies, the main “fuel” is social and economic commerce. The more interactions and transactions that occur, the more robust is the society. Piling up private wealth is antithetical to this, because it starves the system of its needed fuel. Yet I’d venture that few of us think the focus on wealth/ money/ profits is now a misguided idea. Yet at this stage in the evolution of society, we can’t have it both ways -- either wealth serves the interests of humanity, or humanity serves the interests of wealth.
So, why are Republicans/Conservatives winning, despite egregiously anti-social policies? It is because, consciously or unconsciously, we all assent to the primacy of wealth. They know whom they serve, and we are resigned to go along with it. Why are the Democrats destined to fail? Because they continue under the delusion that both principles can be accommodated. Yet, “No man can serve two masters.”
When wealth is the focus of society, the central message, whether stated or implied, is: “If you cannot add to my/our wealth, you are worthless to me/us.” The result is the society in which we currently find ourselves – one filled with fear, conflict, hatred, and division. In your heart, you must know where all of this will lead.
In light of the above, the path toward a better future – and the winning political message -- is not about more jobs, more training to get better jobs, competitive edge, unions, better trade deals, tax fairness, etc. These are all wealth-fixated matters. Democrats have been talking these for decades and it goes nowhere. We currently are a divided house - and divided in our hearts. It’s time to evolve beyond the wealth worship.
The new focus that will take us forward needs to be on people — on healing division, nurturing healthy relationship, and developing whole, healthy citizens. If we are to survive and thrive, the message from on high must become:
“We care about you, and we need each and every one of you in order to build the best society possible. No one needs to be left behind. You are valuable, and we are here to do what we can to support you in becoming your best self and our best citizen, so that you can help us create the society of the future.”
As always, the choice is up to us.
We can prevent social strife by first understanding that we are all equal, and that no one nation or groups of people have superiority over the other. Second, if we actually all pool our resources together we can feed our hungry and provide for poor. I don't understand with the amount of food wastes and such that we still cannot address hunger adequately.
We need to invest in sustainable energy. I think that resources are not unlimited and that a certain amount of time has to pass before they can be replenished.
I think it all starts at home. We need to teach our kids that we all are human. We need to teach them to be giving and grateful. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs and we should respect that, instead we put this great divide between us and cause so much anger and hate.
The confusion that everyone has, is that every individual has to look at his/ her self, we know right from wrong! We know where to draw the line, and we all need God, if a person's heart is right he will not hurt another human being, we blame everyone but self, it's like your cleaning the windows in a house you wipe, and wipe the inside a little, but you scurb hard the outside, and go back inside and look and wipe a little more, and back outside you go, never seeing that it's the inside of that window that really needs the scrubbing, we need to check self, rectify it and find more love, with a shout of love we can rock the world's foundation!!
I honestly believe to save the world we need to all come together and teach our younger generation how we.can live without our cell phones. Plant more trees. And not drive cars and ride bikes. And save water and not use violence for solutions. And plant crops and try to find away to use ocean water to use in everyday life.
I think we need to concentrate on how much death has been going on. We need to start being more proactive wen we see wrong doing. Don't b afraid to speak up n report wat we see wen we see it. So many lives could b saved.
I think you have the right idea. We need way more social media and I think it should be shown in school and it be Mandatory that every person sees it yearly kinda like taxes.
Really stop terrorism. I'm not sure how to do it but apparently a lot of security measures need revised in many areas.
Educate each person from as little as 3 to 75. Show respect, love and sincerity in your actions. Don't let anyone go hungry it shows how cold hearted the world is with some that live in a 250,000 house at the age of 18 yet there are millions of people past retirement age sleeping outside and going hungry.
I’m 53 years old raising my 2 oldest grandchildren. We raise them they way we were raise. God is first! Then family! We do not let them on social media, they are taught to respect everyone, they have chores at 10 and 7 years old. We do a lot as a family! I think this world needs more love and patience!
Don’t Hate!!!!! Keep a smile on your face and always smile at others! You never know what someone is going through
I think more cities and towns need recycling programs in place. I think more people would participate if they were giving a how to on how to do it.
Communities around the world should have communal food gardens. The people who use it and need it can be those who tend to it.
The one thing I would love to see happen is the end of child abuse. One thing that would help this is more mental health and drug abuse awareness. Make it easier and cheaper for people to get the help they need.
I wish people would show more empathy. Not only would that help other, but it would show out younger generation how to care for others.
We should build rain water filtration systems out of recycled material. We would save so much of our natural resourses, rid land fill of some of the stuff that ends up there and ship to other countries.
Require all inmates that are serving time a trade school training. Maybe collaborate with local companies for a tax incentive. This way They will have the power in themselves to change their life around upon release.
I am certain we need to eliminate as much pollution, clean our air and most importantly Water. Decrease Electric and Fuel use. Nurture our lands, replenish the soil so we can plant our natural produce, clean air, clean wAter, and natural nutrients can save both Earth and Humans.
We are all human, and we all make mistakes. I feel if we could all trade shoes for a day and be able to go through what every one else is dealing with there would be a lot less judgement, hatred, and war ;and there would be a lot more empathy, and understanding. Our problems and situations are not the same. They may be similar but we are all here trying to get through each day. If we could all see things through another's eyes, I believe that would save the world.
I believe Mr. trump should get impeached, work on energy, and a strict pay cuts for all government workers and the president shouldn't get a dime unless he lives in the white house.
Create an international holiday called "Forgiveness, compromise, and love one another day" Hopefully all the world leaders throughout the world would embrace this. Imagine if people set aside differences and forgave more. But, that would require participation without coercion. Then they could start on a new slate and that alone would contribute to world peace.
Plant more trees.
To save sumatran tigers
With all of the choices we make, we must remember it is our childrens’ lives that are at stake!
- Be kind
- Be informed
- Remember our connectedness to each other, the animals and our natural world...we are all a family.
I think a good start would be to clean up the trash in the ocean and on land.after that we could give all the wealth of the world to save the sick and starving people and the homeless.help our veterans past and present.get on your knees and submit your lives to God.save the animals of the world by giving them more space to live.no more deforestation.learn to live together.love one another.peace on earth and love for all mankind.no more greed.Back to Top Enter the Contest Refer a Friend Reply to a Post Contact Us
We need more creative ways to teach children. There should be more opportunities for children to have at school. Imagine a physics class with go-carts, and fuel cell experiment made from out dated Nintendo consoles.
Cash reward sites geared with local market advertising, that pays the user and helps solve societal issues . The site can have brain games that resemble real problems in the world. It could bring awareness to local communities across the nation.
Create a task force of homeless people to pick up litter, and pay them along with house them.
